Before you write
Most issues fall into one of these. Try these first.
I'm not getting notifications
- Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → ShiftSleeper. Turn alerts and sounds on.
- In ShiftSleeper → Settings → Integrations → "Request again" to re-prompt.
- Focus Modes (Sleep, Do Not Disturb) can silence alerts. Add ShiftSleeper as an Allowed App.
HealthKit isn't syncing
- Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → ShiftSleeper. Enable all categories.
- Force-quit and reopen ShiftSleeper.
- HealthKit only shows sleep recorded by Apple Watch or third-party apps. If your data lives in Oura, Whoop, etc., enable their HealthKit write permission.
My widget shows old data
- Open the main app once. The app publishes a fresh snapshot when it launches or when you change a shift.
- Long-press the widget → Edit Widget → toggle the option and back. Forces a reload.
My Apple Watch doesn't show the app
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone → My Watch → scroll to ShiftSleeper → "Show App on Apple Watch" must be on.
- Install can take a minute or two over Bluetooth.
I want to cancel a subscription
- iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → ShiftSleeper → Cancel.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- For refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com.
I want to delete all my data
- iPhone Settings → General → iPhone Storage → ShiftSleeper → Delete App.
- Everything is on-device. There is no cloud copy to delete.
Bug reports
Include: device model, iOS version, watchOS version (if applicable), what you did, what happened, what you expected. Screenshots help a lot.
